Overview
The Visual Guides: Understanding the EarthView images, animations, and short videos on a wide variety of topics covered in EAS 100, including rocks, minerals, tectonic plates, continental drift, volcanoes, earthquakes, ocean currents, the ocean floor, physical & topographic maps, and the formation of Earth. Most videos are less than two minutes long.
- Earth Science Topic Center (Science Online)This excellent resource presents modules on continental drift, bodies of water, beaches & shorelines, plate tectonics, geology, geological periods, glaciers, the history of mapping the Earth, oceanography, soil science, the origins of mountains, and the structure of the Earth. Features include videos & animations, experiments, diagrams, tables & data, and an Earth Science Timeline.
