In addition to the resources provided here, Oakton College Library offers several research guides on related topics.
Finding adequate funding for college can be a difficult process. This guide is designed to provide you information about financial resources available to Oakton students. The guide is divided by resource type with general information available here on the home page. Making sure you have filled out your FAFSA for the current year is a great place to begin. This page also provides links to be in contact with Oakton's financial aid department.
When applying for any scholarships or grants remember that each resource will have its own application criteria, so read the available information before applying.
When looking for scholarship information and resources, a great place to begin is with Oakton's financial aid services. According to the web page, Oakton has a myriad of scholarships established for Oakton students. "Scholarships have been established through the generosity of businesses, associations and individuals. These scholarships reward student achievement, encourage student leadership and accomplishment, and provide financial assistance. All awards are based on the availability of funds. Some scholarships provide partial funding for tuition and fees; others provide for additional expenses."
While the eligibility requirements may vary for the different available scholarships, there is one application for all of these Oakton specific scholarships. You can find it here:
