WGS Article Databases
The search box above simultaneously searches Academic Search Complete, Soc Index with Full Text, and Humanities International Complete. These are multi-disciplinary databases, meaning they will provide results from many different subject perspectives both related to WGS and from outside the disciplines that study women and gender. Be sure to narrow your searches by subject. They will also return both scholarly (peer-reviewed) and popular (news and magazines) materials.

Provides a comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with around 10,000 full-text periodicals - of which more than 9,000 are peer-reviewed journals.
- Humanities Source Ultimate EBSCO This link opens in a new windowIncludes more 1,200 journals in full-text. Provides articles, essays and reviews, as well as original creative works including poems, fiction, photographs, paintings and illustrations.
- SAGE Journals Online This link opens in a new windowProvides full-text access to select Oakton-purchased SAGE Journal titles and to high quality open access journals in many areas of the social sciences: education, anthropology, criminal justice, political science, psychology, public policy, and sociology.
If you find a journal or article you want to read but it has a "lock"/no access icon, you can search for the title in the OWL catalog or submit an interlibrary loan request to library staff.
