Teaching Resources Hub

The Center for Teaching Innovation advances Oakton's mission with an active Teaching Resources Hub that supports, fosters, and expands best-practices in teaching and learning and synergy across disciplines.

What is OER?

Open Educational Resources (OER) are teaching, learning, and research materials that reside in the public domain or have been released under an open license that permits their free use and re-purposing by others (Creative Commons). Rooted in equity, this initiative strives to provide free and open access to high-quality educational materials.

Contact Michelle Oh at moh@oakton.edu about OER and other strategies to reduce the cost of course materials for your students.
