The Office of Advising, Transitions, and Student Success is available to answer general questions about academic advising. Both email and voicemail are being checked throughout the day and will be returned within 24 business hours. Please be sure to include your name and Oakton ID (B#) in any communications.
Academic advisors are meeting with students remotely to provide essential services while campuses are closed. Essential services include summer 2020 registration/course planning; fall 2020 registration/course planning; and academic standing/probation advising. Thirty-minute appointments will be available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some appointments may be made outside of these hours based on advisor availability.
Your virtual advising appointment options include talking with an advisor via:
Email: Send specific questions (including your Oakton B#) to your academic advisor and allow 1-2 business days for a response.
Video (via Google Meet): For a Google Meet (video) appointment, you will need a computer with video and audio capabilities.
Phone: For a phone appointment, you will need to call your advisor’s office number.
To schedule a virtual (phone or video) advising appointment include your full name and Oakton ID in an email to:

You can reference the grid below to identify your assigned advisor.
You can log into myOakton, select ‘Student Profile’, and scroll down your student profile until you see ‘Advisor.’ Select the advisor name and their email address will pop up.
If no assigned advisor is listed, coordinate an appointment with advising@oakton.edu.
