Meeting placement requirements at Oakton can be completed in multiple ways.

If you are not sure if you need to take a placement test, you can log into the new student portal to view your admission checklist.
You can also consult with the Enrollment Center about your placement options.
Math Placement
The ALEKS math placement test can be completed remotely while the College is closed. Send an email with your contact information to testingcenter@oakton.edu. Staff will follow up with detailed information about taking the test online. If you have questions about your math placement or prerequisites go to the Math Placement Coordinator page.
Reading and Writing Placement
The ACCUPLACER reading placement test and the Writing Skills Assessment Test (WSAT) can also be completed remotely. Send an email to testingcenter@oakton.edu indicating which test you want to take. The Testing Center will follow up with information about each exam. If you have questions about your English placement you can contact one of the Coordinators below.
