Oakton Library Spring Hours

Oakton Librarians are in person with limited hours as well as online to help you and your students during the FALL 2021 Semester at https://asklibrary.oakton.edu/ 

Library Hours

Weekdays Morning

  • Monday - Friday: 7:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Weekdays Evening

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday : 4 - 9 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 5:30 -  9 p.m.
  • Friday: 2:30 - 6 p.m.

Weekend

  • Saturday: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed

Ask a Librarian Hours

Online Weekdays 

  • Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Friday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Online Weekend

  • Saturday: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed

On Campus Weekdays 

  • Monday - Tuesday: 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Library Services during COVID-19

Fall 2021 Update

The library is open online and on campus. The following services are available at the Des Plaines and Skokie Campus Libraries:

  • Textbook reserves are available for use in the library.
  • Students can study in the library and access the collection.
  • Ask a Librarian help will be available in person in addition to online. Please refer to Ask a Librarian Hours for hours of service Online as well as On Campus.
  • Computer access will be available for current students and employees.
  • You can apply for your Owl ID either in person or online.
  • Check out materials to take home from our collection or from other libraries using Interlibrary Loan.
  • Pay fines with cash or check in person. To request to pay online, please contact us at renewlib@oakton.edu (paying online will take an additional 1-3 business days to arrange).
  • DVD remote viewing stations are available.
  • Students can check out phone chargers and headphones to use in the library.

Please see the Return to Campus FAQ for guidance about wearing a mask and social distancing. 

You can fill out our Grab 'n' Go form to have the item(s) you have requested online in our catalog to be checked out, bagged, and placed on our library's Grab 'n' Go table. You can retrieve your items during counter services hours.
